New York NY - Washington DC - Huntington WV - New York NY
October - November 2009
We leased the car to the Collis P.
Huntington Railway Historical Society for use in their four New River
Train excursions from Huntington through the New River Gorge to Hinton
and return. We deadheaded to Huntington using train 91 from New York
to Washington and an Amtrak equipment positioning special from Washington
to Huntington. Our deadhead return trip from Huntington to New York
was on train 50.

Its Sunday, November 1st, 2009. The Cardinal, train 50, slows to stop
on the CSX (former C&O) mainline
about a quarter-mile east of the Huntington WV passenger station.
The train will make a reverse move
thru the hand thrown switch and back down the Collis P. Huntington
Railway Historical Society's
siding to couple to MOUNT VERNON and haul us back to New York.
