MOUNT VERNON at South Station in Boston, MA. In about an hour the car will depart on Amtrak train 447 (the Monday through Friday version of the New England connection to the Lake Shore Limited) and travel west across the Bay State and the Berkshire Mountains to meet the westbound Lake Shore Limited at Albany-Rensselaer NY. Amtrak's Acela Express to Washington DC is on the adjacent track.
